Please check the available time of the equipment you want to make a reservation for. Some equipments can be fully booked easily in the graduating season. If there is an urgent need, you may contact system engineers to be included in the waiting list. If there is an associated reservation canceled at short notice, students in the waiting list will be notified for measurement (usually on the previous date or current date). However, as it is rare to have cancellations at short notice, it is advisable to make reservations on the open date. The filling of canceled measurement dates is at instrument engineers’ discretion. Please do not call to ask for updates on the waiting list. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The official website member email must be the same as that used for filing tape-out applications, otherwise the educational tape-out list cannot be retrieved. The educational tape-out list is imported when the chip ship order is generated and when the proof of chip delivery is signed and returned. After the list is imported, you may make a reservation for educational measurement through the website.
One educational chip number can only use self-booking equipments and is limited to one reservation for measurement. If secondary measurement is needed, adjustments will be made by engineers. As educational chips are used by the academic community for educational purposes, only basic simulation results are provided for measurement and comparison.
If it is necessary to bring your own instruments or accessories, please let the engineer know that in detail beforehand and fully discuss your testing plan before making a reservation. If no communication is made and it turns out that measurement is infeasible on-site, you will still be charged for the time used. For your own instruments or accessories, after a reservation is made successfully, you must sign an Instrument Use Affidavit form on-site for the TSRI’s reference.
There are installation and manpower costs for each system. To avoid wasting measurement resources, if you do not show up on the measurement date for no reason, you will still be charged at the system’s minimum amount of time for charging. For customized fabrication, please notify us one day ahead if you cannot show up on the day of the reservation.
The operation commission (order scheduling) process involves time estimation and the review of measurement conditions. After both parties sign for confirmation, engineers will reach out to customers to arrange the date of measurement. The internal review process takes about 3-5 weekdays to give quotes. After the customers sign for confirmation, the engineers will contact the customers within 5 days to schedule their measurements. It takes around 2-6 weeks from the time that the order is signed and confirmed to the scheduled measurement date, depending on instrument type and season.
If you have completed the evaluation, but you cannot use the equipment, please reach out to the customer service center or refer to the User self-Service Method and Check Instrument Status.
Customers making full price measurement reservations for the first time must complete payment through the customer service center before performing the measurements.
